September 15, 2026, 16:00 (UTC+8),
the funding rate cap for stock perps will be adjusted from 0.5% to 1%.
What determines the funding rate:
The funding rate is determined by two key factors: the base interest rate and the premium.
Funding rate formula:
Funding rate (F) = [average premium index (P) + clamp (base interest rate – premium index (P), -0.05%, 0.05%)] ÷ (8 ÷ N)
With the base interest rate set to 0%, the funding rate will be determined solely by the premium component. Therefore,
the funding rate will not always be 0%.
