About Blast (BLAST)

What Is Blast?

Blast is an Ethereum Layer 2 solution. It is designed to revolutionize the DeFi experience by offering native yields in ETH and stablecoins. Launched by Pacman, the founder of the NFT marketplace Blur, Blast has garnered significant attention and investment from prominent firms such as Paradigm and Standard Crypto. The platform leverages Ethereum’s Shanghai update to enable auto-rebasing for ETH and introduce a new stablecoin, USDB (Blast USD), which generates T-Bill yields. This unique approach aims to enhance asset value and market efficiency, attracting users and developers to the ecosystem.

Blast provides a 4% yield on ETH and a 5% yield on stablecoins, which is higher than other L2 solutions. By incorporating these yields natively, Blast creates new business models for decentralized applications (Dapps) that aren't possible on other platforms. This strategy not only benefits users by increasing their asset value but also incentivizes developers to build on Blast, fostering a robust and dynamic DeFi ecosystem.

How Does Blast Work?

Blast operates through several key mechanisms that ensure users and developers benefit from its unique yield-generating features. One of the primary components is the auto-rebasing of ETH and USDB. Unlike traditional staking mechanisms, Blast automatically adjusts users’ ETH balances on the platform to reflect yields obtained from L1 staking systems like Lido. This integration ensures that ETH held on Blast appreciates over time without requiring additional user actions, providing a seamless and efficient way to maximize staking rewards.

For stablecoins, Blast introduces a novel T-Bill mechanism. Users can bridge stablecoins like USDC and DAI to the Blast platform, where they are converted to USDB. The yield for USDB comes from MakerDAO’s on-chain T-Bill protocol, offering users a stable and predictable return on their assets. Additionally, Blast employs a gas revenue-sharing model, where Dapp developers receive a share of the gas fees generated by their applications. This revenue can be kept by developers or used to subsidize gas fees for users, enhancing the overall user experience.

Blast also implements a comprehensive points system, rewarding users and developers with Blast Points and Blast Gold. Blast Points are distributed automatically based on the balance of ETH, WETH, and USDB held in users' wallets and smart contracts. Blast Gold, on the other hand, is distributed manually to Dapps based on their traction and integration with Blast-native features. These points can be redeemed for various incentives, further encouraging participation and growth within the Blast ecosystem.

What Is BLAST Token?

BLAST is the upcoming native token of the Blast platform, scheduled for launch in 2024. This token will play a crucial role in the Blast ecosystem, serving as a medium for rewarding users and developers who contribute to the platform's growth. Users can earn BLAST tokens by participating in various activities, such as referring new users, depositing assets, and engaging with Dapps. The reward points accumulated from these activities will be convertible into BLAST tokens during the planned airdrop.

How to Claim Blast Rewards and Airdrop

Claiming Blast rewards and participating in the airdrop is designed to be a seamless and user-friendly experience. To start earning rewards, users must first bridge their ETH or stablecoins (such as USDC or DAI) to the Blast platform. Once the assets are bridged, users will automatically start accumulating Blast Points based on their wallet balances. These points are updated in real-time on the Blast.io Airdrop dashboard. Users can enhance their rewards by inviting friends to join the platform. Each referral earns additional points, and multipliers can be gained by interacting with highlighted Dapps, further boosting the overall rewards. It’s essential to monitor the dashboard regularly to track points and take advantage of any available multipliers.

To participate in the airdrop, users need to ensure that their primary wallet is linked to Blast, typically done through a wallet like Metamask. In addition to accumulating points, users should actively engage in the community by referring others and using Dapps that support the Blast Points API. In May 2024, Blast converted all accumulated points and gold into BLAST tokens, which will be distributed to users’ wallets. Users will be notified through the platform, and the tokens will be directly accessible in their linked wallets. This conversion marks the culmination of Blast’s rewards campaign, turning the accumulated efforts and engagement into tangible assets that can be utilized within the Blast ecosystem or traded on various cryptocurrency exchanges.

$GRVT Ethereum layer-2 network Blast is shutting down after its operating costs exceeded the revenue generated by the chain. In a Friday post on X, Blast said it sees no “credible path” to making the network economically sustainable and asked users to withdraw their assets to Ethereum mainnet. “We launched Blast with the goal of building a self-sustaining chain for users and developers,” the team said. “Unfortunately, the economics of operating the chain no longer make sense.” Source: Blast The network will reduce its withdrawal delay to 24 hours, though withdrawals will be temporarily unavailable while Blast unwinds its Lido assets, a process expected to take about a week. Users will have until Oct. 26 to withdraw through Blast’s interface. After that, assets will remain accessible, but withdrawals will require users to interact directly with the Blast bridge contracts on Ethereum. Blast said it will publish instructions for withdrawing directly through the bridge contracts ahead of the Oct. 26 cutoff and urged users to move their assets to Ethereum mainnet before then. Related: Stablecoins can drain from banks and nations at lightning speed Blast emerged from Blur’s NFT boom Blast was founded by Tieshun “Pacman” Roquerre, the founder of NFT marketplace Blur, which launched in October 2022 and quickly challenged OpenSea by targeting professional traders with token incentives. By the end of 2022, Blur had surpassed then-leading NFT marketplace OpenSea in trading volume and extended its lead in early 2023, fueled in part by its token airdrop and trader rewards. Roquerre unveiled Blast in November 2023 with native yield on Ether (ETH) and stablecoins and a points program tied to an anticipated token airdrop. The strategy helped attract more than $2 billion in deposits before its mainnet launched in February 2024. Blast’s DeFi TVL has fallen more than 98% since its June 2024 peak. Source: DefiLlama However, Blast’s growth proved difficult to sustain amid a broader downturn in the NFT market. Its DeFi total value locked has declined steadily since peaking at roughly $2.2 billion in June 2024, falling by more than 98% since then, according to DeFiLlama data. Blur has undergone a similar decline. Its total value locked, which rose above $200 million at its early-2024 peak, now stands at about $27 million. 🚨 CRYPTO ISN’T MOVING AS ONE MARKET ANYMORE — AND THAT’S THE SIGNAL
📅 October 4, 2026 | Crypto Analyst View Forget the simple question: “Are crypto prices going up or down?” The better question is: «WHERE is the market willing to take risk — and where is it aggressively removing risk?» The latest futures snapshot gives us a fascinating answer. We have coins exploding higher while others are being crushed in the same trading environment. That is not random noise. That is dispersion. And dispersion is where the best market information often hides. --- 🔥 THE MOMENTUM SIDE SAND — 0.06315 | +42.45% SAND is one of the clearest examples of aggressive upside participation. A move this large tells us momentum traders are willing to pay higher prices quickly. But the real test starts after the breakout. If buyers continue defending pullbacks, the move has structural credibility. If every rally is immediately sold, the percentage gain becomes nothing more than a temporary spike. --- MAGMA — 0.35532 | +44.94% MAGMA is another extreme momentum case. Nearly 45% in one session means expectations have changed dramatically in a short period. This is where traders need to stop thinking about “cheap” and “expensive.” The real question is: Is the market accepting the new valuation? Price acceptance matters more than the size of the candle. --- NIGHT — 0.0464403 | +19.65% NIGHT is interesting because its move is powerful without being as extreme as the top two. That creates a useful observation point: Can it maintain a significant portion of the advance while volatility cools? A strong market does not necessarily need another vertical candle. Sometimes the strongest signal is simply price refusing to give back the breakout. --- ATH — 0.006525 | +12.15% ATH represents a different type of strength. It is not leading the leaderboard by percentage, but it is still participating. For analysts, relative strength becomes important here. If BTC pauses and ATH holds firm, that tells us something. If BTC rallies and ATH immediately loses its gains, the apparent strength becomes less convincing. --- CT — 0.5379 | +12.06% CT completes another double-digit move. But here's the trap: A +12% coin isn't automatically healthier than a +45% coin. The percentage only tells us how far price moved. It doesn't tell us: - how liquid the move was - how much volume supported it - whether buyers defended the breakout - whether leverage amplified the move - whether the trend survives the next pullback That is why professional analysis looks beyond the leaderboard. --- ⚠️ NOW LOOK AT THE OTHER SIDE This is where the market becomes much more interesting. 龙虾 — 0.038396 | -64.42% A loss exceeding 60% is not ordinary volatility. This is a market-structure emergency zone. The first reaction from inexperienced traders is often: “It's down so much — it must bounce.” That logic is dangerous. A collapsing asset can become even more volatile before stabilization. The first thing to look for is not a green candle. It is evidence that sellers are losing control. --- BLAST — 0.0002437 | -40.40% BLAST has also experienced a severe repricing. A 40% decline creates a completely different trading environment from a normal correction. The market now needs to establish a new equilibrium. Until that happens, every bounce can simply be another opportunity for trapped holders to exit. --- MOVR — 1.938 | -31.49% MOVR sits deep inside the high-volatility group. A move like this can produce violent countertrend rallies because short sellers take profits and dip buyers appear. But a rebound is not automatically a reversal. One bounce = reaction. Higher low + reclaimed resistance = developing structure. That distinction matters. --- ALICE — 0.1731 | -24.73% ALICE is another example of why percentage losses should be interpreted through structure. The market has removed a substantial amount of value in a single session. Now watch what happens around previous demand zones. If buyers cannot defend them, weakness can remain persistent. If buyers reclaim broken levels with volume, the chart starts telling a different story. --- 2Z — 0.044901 | -19.40% 2Z is down almost 20%. This is large enough to put it firmly into the risk-management category. The key question isn't: “Can it recover?” Almost anything can recover eventually. The better question is: What would prove that sellers have actually lost control? That is the analyst mindset. --- UAI — 0.28682 | -18.74% UAI continues the downside cluster. Here, volume becomes especially important. If selling volume expands while price keeps making lower lows, pressure remains active. If volume begins declining while price stops making new lows, exhaustion may be developing. Not confirmation. But information. --- BP — 1.17251 | -16.81% BP is another meaningful loser. The key observation is whether the market starts producing lower highs or higher lows after the decline. That single structural difference can completely change the interpretation. --- SPORTFUN — 0.01764 | -15.43% SPORTFUN is down more than 15%. This is a reminder that futures markets can amplify moves far beyond what spot traders expect. When leverage gets crowded, liquidation flows can temporarily become more important than fundamental valuation. That is why price can overshoot in both directions. --- SOON — 0.36775 | -14.97% SOON closes the downside group. Its decline is smaller than the extreme losers, but the analytical framework remains identical: Does price stabilize, or does every recovery attempt create another lower high? That is what I would watch next. --- 🧠 HERE'S THE BIGGER MARKET MESSAGE The current market is sitting around $2.9T total capitalization, with BTC dominance near 58.9%. That matters. Because despite spectacular moves in individual altcoins, capital is not yet behaving like a broad, indiscriminate altseason. Instead, the market is rewarding specific names while punishing others. That's selective risk-taking. And current market data reinforces that idea: on October 4, BTC was around $84.8K, ETH around $2.69K, while ZRO was among the strongest large-cap movers. So don't look at one green screen and call everything bullish. Don't look at one red screen and call everything bearish. Watch the divergence. BTC: Is the market leader holding its range? BTC dominance: Is capital actually rotating away from Bitcoin? Altcoins: Are more coins participating, or only a handful? Volume: Is the move attracting real activity? Structure: Are breakouts being defended? Leverage: Are liquidations driving the move? --- 🚨 MY ANALYST CONCLUSION The market is giving us two completely different messages at once. 🚀 Some assets are experiencing aggressive price discovery. 🩸 Others are experiencing forced repricing. That means this is not a market for blindly buying green candles or blindly shorting red ones. It's a market for identifying confirmation. The strongest coin isn't necessarily the one with the biggest green number. The weakest coin isn't necessarily the best short. The opportunity is in identifying the moment when momentum becomes structure. And that is where the next major move usually reveals itself. Don't trade the leaderboard. Read the behavior behind it. 👀📊 👇 ONE QUESTION FOR TRADERS: If you could choose only ONE coin from this entire 18-coin list to watch over the next 24 hours, which one — and why? $BTC $ETH $SOL

$GRVT BLAST L2 SHUTS DOWN: $63.5M BRIDGE ASSETS & OCTOBER 26 WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE Blast, the Ethereum Layer-2 network known for native yield and points farming, is officially winding down. The reason? Blast says the ongoing cost of operating the network now exceeds the revenue generated by the L2, with no credible path toward long-term economic sustainability. KEY DETAILS: → Blast L2 is being shut down → Users should withdraw assets to Ethereum mainnet by October 26, 2026 → After October 26, withdrawals will require direct interaction with Blast bridge contracts on Ethereum L1 → Withdrawal delay will be reduced to 24 hours → Blast’s Lido asset withdrawal process will begin first and may take ~1 week → ~$63.5M reportedly remains in the canonical bridge This is more than a routine network shutdown, it highlights the brutal economics facing Ethereum L2s when user activity and revenue cannot justify operating costs. $BLAST 20% Down in Just One hour. $GRVT $BLAST CRASH: $100K Could Be Worth LESS Than $1,000 Ethereum Layer-2 Blast ($BLAST) is facing a brutal collapse. The $BLAST weekly candle is already down 53%, and the weekly candle hasn’t even closed yet. From its All-Time High (ATH), $BLAST is down 99%+ That means someone who invested $100,000 near the top could now be left with less than $1,000. With Blast winding down, this is becoming a major Ethereum Layer-2 reality check: massive TVL, incentives and hype don’t guarantee long-term sustainability.
