Solana Quantum Roadmap Unveiled: Opting for the Falcon Approach, Existing Migration Work Ready
BlockBeats News, April 27th, Solana Official has released an article on the potential impact of quantum computing on blockchain, reiterating that the quantum threat is still years away, but the Solana ecosystem has conducted thorough research and is technologically prepared in advance. The independent validation client development teams Anza and Firedancer (representing a significant portion of the network's stake) have independently researched and unanimously agreed that a compact and high-throughput blockchain-friendly post-quantum digital signature scheme is needed, and have jointly selected the Falcon scheme. Both parties have separately released initial implementation code on GitHub. In addition, the Solana Winternitz Vault developed by Blueshift has been operational in the ecosystem for over two years, providing a direct post-quantum path. Earlier this year, Google Quantum AI identified this Vault in its whitepaper as a leading edge case of post-quantum work in the industry. Solana's current quantum roadmap includes ongoing quantum research and evaluation of Falcon and alternative schemes; adopting post-quantum schemes for new wallets when quantum becomes a credible threat; and migrating existing wallets to the selected scheme. The official statement describes the migration process as manageable and expects it to be completed rapidly with no significant impact on network performance.

Solana Foundation: Anza and Firedancer have independently completed the initial implementation of the quantum-resistant signature scheme Falcon
Foresight News reports that the Solana Foundation has published an update on its progress preparing for quantum resistance. Solana’s two major validator client development teams, Anza and Firedancer, independently arrived at the same conclusion, selecting the post-quantum digital signature scheme Falcon as their migration path. Both have completed initial implementations, with code released on their respective GitHub repositories. In addition, Blueshift’s Solana Winternitz Vault has been deployed for more than two years, making it one of the few quantum-resistant primitives in active use among major blockchains. Earlier this year, it was cited in a Google Quantum AI white paper. The Solana Foundation stated that although quantum computing remains years away from being a substantial threat and immediate migration is not necessary, research, infrastructure, and ecosystem coordination are already in place. When the time is right, migration can be launched swiftly, and no significant impact on network performance is expected.

Lido: 2,500 ETH Aave rescue proposal has reached quorum, expected to be executed next week
```htmlJinse Finance reported that on April 27, Lido posted an update on X regarding the progress of the Kelp security incident. Lido disclosed that its proposal to provide 2,500 ETH in aid has passed the main voting phase and reached quorum, with voting to conclude at 20:09 UTC on April 28. Final execution is expected to be completed next week. Meanwhile, Lido Earn, Mellow Protocol, and the Ethereum Foundation have reached a bilateral swap agreement for approximately 21,269 aWETH and wstETH, helping the EarnETH treasury directly repay WETH debt on Aave, reduce borrowing costs, and improve the treasury’s health. Additionally, Lido emphasized that stETH and wstETH have not been affected by last week's incident, and the Lido staking protocol is operating normally.```
