Base Protocol Leader: I and the Base community will open our arms to welcome Pudgy Penguin and its token PENGU
On December 8, Jesse Pollak, the head of Base Protocol, posted on platform X saying: "Just to make it 100% clear, I and the Base community will welcome Pudgy Penguin and its token PENGU with open arms. We are excited to collaborate with Abstract Chain to expand Ethereum. Besides Solana, I hope that Pudgy Penguin and its token PENGU can bridge to Base so we can grow together."
Previously, a post by Yuga Labs co-founder Garga.eth (Greg Solano) on platform X seemed to upset Jesse Pollak as he announced the launch of tokens on project Solana. Their co-founders Toly and Raj (Solana co-founders) would also welcome them with open arms. Subsequently, Garga.eth explained to Jesse Pollak hoping he wouldn't misunderstand.
However, Igloo - the parent company of Pudgy Penguins has stated that they plan for their token PENGU to adopt multiple chains and will be enabled on both Ethereum and Abstract Chain.
