US SEC terminates investigation into PayPal stablecoin PYUSD and does not take enforcement action
PayPal disclosed in a document submitted on Tuesday that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has terminated its investigation into its USD stablecoin PYUSD and will not take enforcement action. PayPal stated that the SEC enforcement division had previously issued a subpoena in November 2023 requesting documents related to PYUSD and notified the investigation was closed in February 2025.
