JPMorgan, Chainlink, and Ondo Finance Complete Cross-Chain Payment and Settlement Test
According to Cointelegraph, Chainlink, JPMorgan’s Kinexys, and Ondo Finance have completed a “first-of-its-kind” cross-chain delivery versus payment (DvP) settlement test, enabling asset swaps between a permissioned payment network and a public testnet. Chainlink stated that the test involved Kinexys Digital Payments, a permissioned network operated by JPMorgan, and the Ondo Chain testnet, which focuses on the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA). The settlement was coordinated by Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol Runtime Environment (CRE), an off-chain computation layer designed to support cross-chain interoperability for financial systems. In this transaction, the core asset was Ondo’s tokenized US Treasury fund OUSG, which was exchanged for payment via the Kinexys platform.
