Trump impeachment sign removed; US museum denies White House pressure

According to Agence France-Presse, the Smithsonian Institution issued a statement on X social platform, stating that the plaque was originally temporary, "and did not meet the museum's standards in terms of appearance, location, timeline, and overall presentation." The statement said: "It was inconsistent with other parts of the exhibition and obscured the items in the display case. For these reasons, we removed the plaque." "We have not received any requests from the government or other government officials to remove the exhibition content."
