The U.S. Senate will review the crypto market structure bill this week, which could become an important turning point for regulation.
PANews reported on January 12 that, according to former Fox reporter Eleanor Terrett, the U.S. Senate Banking Committee will hold its first formal markup of the "Digital Asset Market Structure Clarity Act" (H.R. 3633) on January 15. Previously, the House of Representatives had passed the bill in July 2025. The Senate version of the text will be submitted to senators this Monday or Tuesday, with key areas of focus including ethics rules for officials holding tokens, attribution of stablecoin yields, and DeFi regulation. The bill may advance in parallel with the version from the Agriculture Committee. If passed, it will lay a foundational framework for crypto market regulation in the United States.
