International Investment Activity in November
In November, overseas investors increased their holdings of Canadian securities by $16.3 billion, following a substantial $46.6 billion investment in October. At the same time, Canadian investors purchased $16.5 billion in foreign securities, reversing the previous month's $11.6 billion sell-off.
These cross-border investment movements led to a slight net outflow of $161 million from Canada’s economy in November, a notable shift after October’s significant net inflow of $58.2 billion.
