Virginia legislator Reeves has introduced the SB557 bill, aiming to amend Section 18 of Chapter 2.2 of the Virginia Code by adding provisions to establish the "Virginia Commonwealth Strategic Cryptocurrency Reserve Fund." The bill was submitted on January 14, 2026, and has been referred to the General Laws and Technology Committee for review.
