Eurozone business activity expands at its quickest rate in the past three months
Eurozone Business Activity Sees Strongest Growth in Three Months
Preliminary PMI® survey results reveal that business activity across the eurozone accelerated in February, reaching its highest growth rate in three months. The manufacturing sector led this improvement, recording its most rapid output increase since August of the previous year.
Despite this progress, the overall volume of new orders showed little change from January, and businesses continued to be cautious about expanding their workforce. Input costs continued to climb for the fourth consecutive month, though companies raised their selling prices at a slightly slower rate compared to the previous month. Additionally, business optimism showed signs of softening.
