Constituent stock AngloGold Ashanti Limited (ANG.SJ) closed up 7.30%, Harmony (HAR) rose 5.7%, Impala Platinum Holdings (IMP) gained 5.15%, Gold Fields Limited (GFI) increased 4.42%, Sibanye Stillwater rose 3.28%, BHP Group (BHG) was the sixth largest gainer with a 2.52% increase, Glencore (GLN) rose 1.89%, Naspers gained 1.73%, Prosus was up 1.31%, while Clicks Group fell 1.02%, MTN Group dropped 1.15%, and Mondi (MNP) declined 5.83%.
