Gelonghui, February 28th|Merck announced that due to a decline in global demand for the HPV vaccine Gardasil, it will reduce staff at a production facility in the United States. According to documents submitted to the North Carolina database this week, approximately 150 employees at the Gardasil manufacturing plant will be affected. A company spokesperson stated that they will continue to assess operational and business needs and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the effective operation of the manufacturing network and the stable and compliant supply of medicines and vaccines.
