Senator Lummis: The US can no longer return to a period of regulatory uncertainty, digital assets are the future
Foresight News reported that U.S. Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis tweeted, "We have come too far to return to a state of regulatory uncertainty. Digital assets represent the future, and now is the time for the United States to provide the environment needed for their development."
Previously, Foresight News reported that Cynthia Lummis tweeted she had met with Mike Selig, Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), to discuss digital asset market structure issues. "Mike Selig understands the urgency of the current situation, and I look forward to continuing our cooperation and working together to integrate digital assets into the 21st-century financial system."
