NZ: Reserve Bank leaders will address the public following the April OCR review, sharing their perspectives on how the Middle East conflict may affect the economy
RBNZ Enhances Communication for April 8 Policy Review
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) has announced a new approach to sharing information about its upcoming Monetary Policy Review on April 8. In addition to releasing its decision at 2pm as usual, the RBNZ will now also host an online press conference at 3pm.
Traditionally, the RBNZ only holds a media briefing when it publishes a full Monetary Policy Statement (MPS), with the next one scheduled for May 27. This updated process reflects the Monetary Policy Committee’s ongoing commitment to openness and transparency. The RBNZ plans to continue this format for future Monetary Policy Reviews and will make adjustments as necessary.
