Crude Stockpiles Increased by 5.5 Million Barrels Last Week - EIA
Weekly U.S. Oil Market Update
During the week ending March 27, 2026, American oil refineries processed an average of 16.4 million barrels of crude daily, marking a decrease of 220,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week. Refinery utilization stood at 92.1% of total capacity.
Gasoline output dropped, with production averaging 9.6 million barrels per day. Meanwhile, distillate fuel production held steady at 5.0 million barrels per day.
Crude oil imports into the United States averaged 6.5 million barrels per day last week, which was 10,000 barrels per day lower than the week before. Over the past month, the average daily crude imports were approximately 6.6 million barrels.
