EIA raises price forecasts for WTI and Brent crude oil for this year and next year

Golden Ten Data reported on April 8 that the EIA Short-Term Energy Outlook forecasts the price of WTI crude oil in 2026 to be $87.41 per barrel, previously expected at $73.61 per barrel. The price of WTI crude oil in 2027 is expected to be $72.43 per barrel, previously forecasted at $60.81 per barrel. Brent is projected to be priced at $96.00 per barrel in 2026, up from the previous expectation of $78.84 per barrel. The 2027 Brent price is expected to be $76.09 per barrel, previously forecasted at $64.47 per barrel.
