Hearing for Fed Chair Nominee Walsh Delayed Due to Insufficient Materials
On April 10, according to two sources familiar with the arrangements, the U.S. Senate Banking Committee no longer plans to hold a confirmation hearing for Federal Reserve Chair nominee Kevin Walsh next Thursday. The previously scheduled hearing date depended on whether Walsh submitted the necessary materials to the committee, but those materials have not yet been submitted. Today (Thursday, Eastern Time) is the deadline for the Banking Committee to issue a notice and arrange the hearing for next Thursday. Another informed source indicated that Walsh's team is working to submit the necessary materials as soon as possible and is still attempting to finalize them today.
