German Lufthansa staff go on strike, resulting in hundreds of flight cancellations

This is already the fourth consecutive day of strikes by the airline’s crew members. Due to disputes over the company’s pension plan, the pilots’ union had previously called for strikes on the 13th and 14th. Another round of strikes commenced on the 16th, lasting 48 hours until midnight on the 17th. In pursuit of a better new collective bargaining agreement, the flight attendants’ union called for strikes on the 15th and 16th, having already initiated a strike on the 10th.
