Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe said: “You can think of the R2 fleet—which is a high-volume production product—as part of the process of training our large driving models.” He added that adding LiDAR sensors and improved chips “simply allows us to collect vast amounts of driving mileage data more effectively, which is used to train our models.” (Bloomberg TV)
