Over 338 million tons of autumn grain will be purchased nationwide in 2025

Golden Ten Data reported on May 10 that, according to the latest data released by the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, the procurement of autumn grain during the 2025 peak season concluded at the end of April this year. Various types of grain operators nationwide cumulatively purchased over 338 million tons of autumn grain, reaching one of the highest levels in recent years. The overall procurement showed characteristics such as rapid progress, active buying and selling, and rising prices. Preliminary statistics indicate cumulative purchases of 103 million tons of mid- and late-season rice, 222 million tons of corn, and 12.99 million tons of soybeans. In the three provinces of Henan, Hunan, and Heilongjiang, the minimum purchase price implementation plan for mid- and late-season rice was activated, resulting in the procurement of 4.18 million tons of mid- and late-season rice at the minimum price. Luo Shouquan, Director General of the Grain Reserve Department of the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration, stated that this season’s autumn grain entered the market earlier, the overall quality is good, farmers are eager to sell, and enterprises are enthusiastic about purchasing, showing a positive trend of brisk buying and selling, with purchase prices remaining stable or rising.
