France's official reserve assets fell to 386.9 billion euros in April, hitting a four-month low

⑴ France's official reserve assets at the end of April fell from 390.63 billion euros in March to 386.90 billion euros, marking the lowest level since December 2025. ⑵ The decrease of 3.73 billion euros was mainly due to broad declines across all categories, with gold reserves dropping from 312.91 billion euros to 310.09 billion euros, foreign exchange reserves declining from 32.30 billion euros to 31.65 billion euros, claims on the International Monetary Fund reducing from 38.86 billion euros to 38.68 billion euros, and other reserve assets decreasing from 6.57 billion euros to 6.47 billion euros. ⑶ In April 2025, France's total reserve assets amounted to 303.06 billion euros.
