Glonghui, May 12|Documents submitted by Starbucks show that the company has cut 61 positions in its technology department at its Seattle headquarters. The company stated that the first round of layoffs is expected to begin on June 20, and all layoffs will be completed by August 28. Under the leadership of CEO Brian Niccol, the coffee giant has been implementing a transformation strategy focused on improving indicators such as wait times and reported customer satisfaction to boost sales, though the recovery of profit margins remains in question.
