German wholesale prices in April 2026: +6.3% on April 2025
The selling prices in wholesale trade were 6.3% higher in April 2026 than in April 2025. The year-on-year rate of change was +4.1% in March 2026, and +1.2% in February 2026. A higher year-on-year price increase than that in April 2026 was last recorded in February 2023 (+9.5% on February 2022). The price increase registered in April 2026 was largely attributable to the conflict in Iran and the Middle East, which resulted in higher wholesale prices of energy products and raw materials, in particular.
