Golden Ten Data reported on May 13 that the French National Institute of Statistics stated on Wednesday that France's consumer prices, calculated according to the EU's harmonized standards, rose by 2.5% year-on-year in April. This data confirms the preliminary estimate released at the end of last month and marks the highest inflation rate since July 2024. As the European Union's second largest economy, France saw its April inflation rate accelerated according to the EU's harmonized standards, higher than the 2.0% recorded in March. On a month-on-month basis, prices calculated by the EU's harmonized standards rose by 1.2%, which also confirms the previous preliminary estimates.
