Issuance of STRC by Strategy Approaches $28.3 Billion Cap, Potentially Slowing Bitcoin Accumulation
ChainCatcher reports that Delphi Digital has released a report stating that the authorized issuance cap for the variable rate Series A perpetual preferred shares STRC of Strategy is approximately $28.3 billion. If this value is reached without expansion of the cap, the Bitcoin accumulation speed of Strategy may slow down.
On Monday this week, Strategy purchased 535 Bitcoin for $43 million, with most of the funds for this acquisition raised through the sale of Class A common shares MSTR. Currently, the market net asset value of Strategy is 1.25 times. Researchers pointed out that when mNAV is low, Strategy uses STRC as its main accumulation tool, and if mNAV increases, it may acquire Bitcoin through the sale of MSTR. Strategy holds $2.25 billion in cash reserves, and its next major cash obligation is due in September 2027.
