The US Department of Justice charges three Tennessee men with armed cryptocurrency robbery.
Foresight News reports that, according to the US Department of Justice, a federal grand jury has indicted three men from Tennessee—Elijah Armstrong, Nino Chindavanh, and Jayden Rucker—on charges of conspiring to violently rob cryptocurrency holders in locations including San Francisco, San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Los Angeles. In one case, a victim was forced at gunpoint to transfer approximately 6.5 million US dollars in crypto assets.
All three defendants are from Tennessee, aged between 21 and 25. They allegedly disguised themselves as delivery personnel to enter victims’ residences during the crimes, using firearms, tape, and zip ties to restrain the victims and obtain account information. The three were arrested in Los Angeles and Sunnyvale in December 2025 and are currently in federal custody. If convicted, each conspiracy to commit kidnapping charge carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
