Ionic Digital: Mining output reaches 20.45 BTC in April, hash rate drops 26.2% month-on-month
Odaily reported that Ionic Digital released its unaudited mining and operations update report for April 2026, revealing that 20.45 Bitcoin (BTC) were mined in April, a decrease of 27.1% compared to the previous month. The average daily hash rate was 1.51 EH/s, down 26.2% month-over-month, mainly due to a complete shutdown of its GXD hosting mining site in Oklahoma, which has now ceased operations. Currently, only the four Midland mining sites remain operational and contributed all 20.45 BTC produced in April. Over the same period, global network hash rate fell by 2.1%, but block output remained stable, recording a month-over-month increase of 0.5%.
On the financial side, Ionic Digital maintained a zero-debt status and did not sell any BTC in April. As of April 30, the company held 2,836.4 BTC, an increase of about 19.9 compared to the previous month. (Globenewswire)
