The spokesperson for the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Tuesday that according to international law, any country bordering a natural strait must not obstruct passage.
The spokesperson also pointed out that there are currently special arrangements for energy product exports, but only two LNG tankers have passed through the Strait of Hormuz, which does not mean that normal navigation has resumed.
This statement reveals the current delicate situation in the Strait of Hormuz: the coexistence of legal rights to passage with actual navigation restrictions, and the transportation of energy remains in an abnormal state.
