According to a diplomat from a NATO member state, the proposal has received support from several member states of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), but has not yet achieved the unanimous consent required for approval. An alliance led by France and the United Kingdom is formulating a plan aimed at ensuring the safety of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz as soon as there is a de-escalation on the front lines. WTI crude oil futures continue to fall by more than 1%, currently trading around $103.
