Golden Ten Data reported on May 20 that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto stated in parliament on Wednesday that Indonesia will establish a state-owned enterprise responsible for managing the export sales of natural resources including palm oil, coal, and ferroalloys. The president said this policy aims to optimize government revenue, strengthen regulation, and combat under-invoicing. If these issues are resolved, it could potentially save $150 billion. Prabowo told parliament that if managed according to the constitution, Indonesia's natural resources are sufficient to benefit all its people. "Land, water, and their resources should be shared by all Indonesian people," he said. He acknowledged that although Indonesia is a resource-rich country and a G20 member, poor economic management has failed to effectively increase national income.
