Jinse Finance reported that on May 21, the newly established agency overseeing the Strait of Hormuz in Iran, the "Persian Gulf Strait Administration," issued a statement on social media late on the 20th, reiterating Iran’s "supervisory and management jurisdiction" over the strait, and emphasizing that vessels transiting these waters must coordinate with the Iranian side and obtain permission.
