Glonghui, May 21｜According to Reuters, sources revealed that NextEra Energy has agreed to acquire the US oil and gas investment firm Caliber Resource Partners for $1.3 billion, and has also established a joint venture with Caliber's private equity investor Quantum Capital Group to manage the power company's US shale assets. Just a few days ago, NextEra Energy announced a $67 billion acquisition of Dominion Resources, and the merged entity will become one of the world’s largest power companies. The latest acquisition will enable NextEra Energy to access US natural gas supplies more easily.
