Global stock markets rise, technology stocks see their best rally in six weeks

The MSCI All Country World Index rose by 0.5%, while Asian stock markets surged by 2.7%. Technology stocks in the region, seen as upstream beneficiaries of artificial intelligence industry development, recorded their largest six-week gain. The Korea Composite Stock Price Index at one point soared by 7.8%, marking its biggest single-day jump since early April. Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, stated that the sectors of physical artificial intelligence and robotics may see further significant growth. This comment drove the share prices of LG Electronics and Hyundai Mobis in the Seoul market up by more than 10%. Samsung Electronics successfully resolved its strike dispute, and its stock price jumped nearly 8%. Despite Nvidia’s earnings report outperforming market expectations, its share price still fell by 1.3% in after-hours trading, missing out on the current market rally. News of equity financing in the technology sector also continued to attract market attention. Reports indicate that OpenAI is preparing to file for an IPO, leading to a 20% surge in SoftBank Group's Tokyo share price. Meanwhile, SpaceX has also initiated its IPO filing process.
