Lockheed Martin breaks ground on missile factory in Alabama
Golden Ten Data May 22|Lockheed Martin held a groundbreaking ceremony for an 87,000-square-foot ammunition production center at its campus in Troy, Alabama. This move is part of a series of actions by the United States to expand missile production and strengthen the national defense industrial base. The facility, named Building 47, will house production lines for Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) interceptors and new-generation interceptors, nearly doubling the current manufacturing capacity of the base.
