Glonghui, May 22 – Lam Research CEO Tim Archer stated that as the company plans to expand operations in Arizona and California, it is working to add sensing and artificial intelligence capabilities to its semiconductor manufacturing equipment in order to enhance production efficiency. The data generated by these sensors can be analyzed by AI systems, allowing early detection of problems and inefficiencies. He also confirmed that the company plans to establish a new factory in the Phoenix area to support clients such as TSMC, and intends to invest further in its California headquarters, where manufacturing operations are still ongoing.
