AirAsia MOVE signed a memorandum of understanding with Intebix and the Solana Foundation to explore the integration of Kazakhstan stablecoin payments.

Foresight News reports that the AirAsia travel platform AirAsia MOVE, Intebix, and Solana Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore integrating the Kazakhstan tenge-pegged stablecoin Evo (KZTE) into the AirAsia MOVE platform, enabling users in Kazakhstan to book flights and hotels using the stablecoin. The three parties will assess the technical architecture, settlement mechanisms, and compliance pathways within the framework of the National Bank of Kazakhstan's regulatory sandbox and will advance to the pilot phase depending on the assessment results. Evo will be issued by Intebix in collaboration with Mastercard and Eurasian Bank on Solana in 2025.
