The group has recently added a Software-Defined Factory Project Coordination position and appointed Alpesh Patel, Chief Innovation Officer of the Singapore Innovation Center, as the head. The Atlas humanoid robot developed by Boston Dynamics, a US subsidiary of Hyundai, has made an appearance at the 2026 Las Vegas International Consumer Electronics Show. Previously, Hyundai Motor Group announced its plan to build a production base with an annual capacity of 30,000 humanoid robots by 2028, and gradually deploy a total of 25,000 robots in Hyundai and Kia factories.
