U.S. Stock Indices Close Higher, SaaS Sector Leads Gains
On May 29, U.S. stock indices closed higher across the board, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.05%, the S&P 500 up 0.58%, and the Nasdaq Composite up 0.91%. The SaaS sector led the gains, with Snowflake soaring over 36%, ServiceNow rising more than 6%, and Microsoft increasing over 3%. The quantum computing sector also saw gains, with D-Wave up over 7% and IBM up more than 3%. However, the optical communications sector experienced declines, with Lumentum and Corning both falling over 4%.
