CME FedWatch: Fed Rate Hike Probability for the Year Falls to 48%
BlockBeats News, May 31st. According to CME's "FedWatch" data, the probability of the Fed maintaining interest rates through December is 51.8%, while the probability of a cumulative 25 basis point rate cut is only 0.2%.
The probability of a Fed rate hike within the year has fallen to 48%, with a 37.9% probability of a cumulative 25 basis point increase, a 9.2% probability of a cumulative 50 basis point increase, and a 0.9% probability of a cumulative 75 basis point increase.
