Crypto-related stocks plummet again, as AI agents severely impact the industry's growth outlook.
An index tracking Software as a Service (SaaS) stocks fell by 5.5%, with a cumulative decline of nearly 10% this week and an overall decrease of almost 40% since 2026. Regarding individual stocks, Microsoft Corporation fell by 1.5%, Palantir Technologies Inc. dropped 7%, Oracle Corporation decreased 2.8%, Salesforce Inc. was down 3.9%, ServiceNow Inc. dropped 6.4%, and Workday Inc. fell 6%. Breakwave Tanker Shipping ETF plunged by around 13% at one point after opening on Wednesday, following Iran's announcement that it would allow ships to safely pass through the Strait of Hormuz. However, the fund quickly rebounded within a few hours, posting significant gains after the Iranian Revolutionary Guard once again suspended tanker traffic in response to Israeli strikes on Lebanon.
