The tokenized RWA market is expected to reach 40 billions USD by 2030, with an increase of over 1,000%.
ChainCatcher reports that market maker Keyrock and tokenization platform Securitize released a joint report on April 9, predicting that the distributed RWA market, where assets can be freely transferred on-chain, will grow from approximately $29 billion currently to $400 billion by 2030 under the baseline scenario—an increase of over 1,000%. The broader blockchain-tracked RWA market is expected to reach $5 trillion over the same period. The report covers five major asset classes: government bonds, private credit, equities, commodities, and alternative funds. Among these, perpetual RWA contracts represent the fastest-growing on-chain channel, with trading volume surging 40 times within six months to a monthly average of $67 billion, raising their share of total on-chain derivatives from 0.1% to 10.1%; this is expected to reach 50% of on-chain derivatives volume by 2028. The report also notes that since mid-2024, the yield on tokenized government bonds has exceeded the benchmark DeFi stablecoin lending rate on 64% of days—a figure that rises to 98% in the first quarter of 2026. Currently, tokenized RWAs account for less than 0.1% of the $400 trillion global market that is eligible for tokenization.
