The Baltic Dry Index hits a one-month highGolden Ten Data Futures, April 7 – On Tuesday, the Baltic Dry Index rose to its highest level in over a month, as freight rates for all vessel types increased. The Baltic Dry Index climbed 29 points, or 1.8%, from the previous trading day to 2095 points, marking the highest level since March 5. The Capesize Index rose by 62 points, or around 2%, reaching a more than one-month high of 3148 points. Average daily earnings for Capesize vessels increased by $557 to $25,045. The Panamax Index gained 18 points, or 1%, to 1802 points. Average daily earnings for Panamax vessels rose by $164 to $16,220. The Supramax Index climbed 7 points, or 0.6%, to 1231 points.
