Nvidia provided a revenue guidance of $91.0 billion for the current fiscal quarter. Although this figure surpassed the average analyst expectations, it failed to impress the market.
Previously, some Wall Street analysts even predicted that the company's revenue could reach up to 96 billion dollars. As a result, the stock price declined.2. To reassure investors, the company also announced a substantial increase in its quarterly dividend from the previous 1 cent per share to 25 cents per share, and unveiled a stock repurchase plan of up to 80 billion dollars.3. The company's CEO, Jensen Huang, stressed during the analyst conference call that the company has an extremely diversified portfolio of growth drivers, including central processing units (CPU), new cloud service providers (Neoclouds), and physical I (such as robotics and smart factories). He stated that in NVIDIA's previously shared long-term growth model, the growth potential of all these specific segments was not fully included.4. In the short term, CPU sales performance will be very strong; in contrast, the contribution from fast-inference technology acquired from Groq will be much smaller. Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress expressed that NVIDIA has “very high visibility” on achieving nearly 20 billion dollars in CPU sales this year. Jensen Huang also added that Groq's related business is actually just a smaller niche market, only suitable for a specific clientele.
