Baisel stated that since the end of February, aviation fuel prices have doubled compared to before the Israeli and U.S. military strikes against Iran. It is expected that oil prices will not return to normal in the coming months, and even if aviation fuel can be obtained, at current prices airlines cannot operate so many flights profitably. According to Baisel's forecast, in the best scenario, passenger numbers will remain stable this year, while in the worst-case scenario, some airport capacity will decrease by 10%, potentially affecting 20 million passengers.
