The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 95.31 points, an increase of 0.19%, at 49,704.47 points. The Nasdaq Composite Index closed up 27.049 points, an increase of 0.10%, at 26,274.125 points, continuing to reach another record closing high. The Nasdaq 100 Index closed up 85.663 points, an increase of 0.29%, at 29,320.656 points, also continuing to reach a record closing high. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index closed up 2.60% at 12,081.042 points, marking the first time in history it closed above the 12,000-point mark; since trading ended on March 30, it has risen more than 69.14%. The Philadelphia Stock Exchange KBW Bank Index closed down 1.13% at 163.91 points. The Nasdaq Biotechnology Index closed up 0.08% at 5,930.80 points.
