Bank of Japan appoints monetary policy expert Kazuhiro Masaki to oversee international affairsAccording to Golden Ten Data on May 11, the Bank of Japan announced on Monday that it has appointed veteran career central banker and monetary policy expert Kazuhiro Masaki as Executive Director, responsible for the bank's international affairs. Masaki has extensive experience in formulating monetary policy and officially assumed his new role on Saturday. He will lead the Bank of Japan's research on the global economy and will be in charge of liaising with central bank counterparts at meetings including the G7 and G20. He succeeds Seiichi Shimizu; Shimizu will remain as Special Advisor to the bank until May 21.
